Q.Why doesn't the SNMP work unless its plugged in to the usb ?
A. It seams the firmware in the Dlink 900ap has snmp broken (1.4h2),
      the best fix is to download a new firmware from www.linksys.com
      (Wap11 version 1.x firmware and snmp tools)
      plug in the 900ap in to the usb port and run the flash upgrade,
      the linksys flash tool is better then dlinks old one where the linksys one has a status of how much its
       uploaded to the unit, and dlinks just shows a happy face,
      After firmware is installed run the snmp tool and off it should work,,

Q. what kinda antenna socket does this beast have ?
A. RP-SMA,,(reverse polarity SMA) (not to be confused with RT-SMA)
     

Q.  I am a tight ass, Can i mod this unit and not spend $30 on a pigtail ?
A. Yes, you can buy a normal SMA from places like jaycar for about $4
     the only diff from a normal SMA and a RP-SMA is the centre pin.. with a lil spare time you shouldn't have problems making one,

Q. But i am EVEN tighter assed,,, can i just bypass the whole RP-SMA
A. Yes, you can directly solder on to the board, (for the Skilled with small parts)

Q. Can i run the Dodgy Wap 11 100mw hack on 900ap ?
A. YES Its based on the same chip set as the Wap11 and NetGear's ap's,
      How ever i don't think i would recommend it
